Today was a busy, exhausting day. Mondays usually are anyways, since it's the day I have to collect all the information from the previous week.
I started by issuing tickets and releases to the maintenance techs. I can't just hand out, though. I add the info to a spreadsheet, add it to a database, and notate the accounts in the billing system before I assign.
I update the on-call list for dispatch.
Downloaded the summary of customer premise equipment from Friday, sorted it, and then emailed the reports from last week to the Plant Manager.
I downloaded collections summaries that I needed, a-cycle completed disconnects and d-cycle tgrams. The d-cycle list wasn't complete, I need to download it again tomorrow. This weekend while I was working in Highgate I pulled the list of d-cycle that needed to have path corrections, so that was already done. Good thing, too!
Grabbed the current list of stranded dvr and accounts of non-Metallics with free HDPlus, and noticed a problem. The list of stranded dvr was huge. Like, 673 units larger than last week. I'd removed expired promo codes from the report, turns out I also removed an active code. I started the process of corrected the report qualifiers when the billing system died.
About an hour later the system came back up, but did it crawl. We just couldn't move. I spent the rest of the day with two instances open, because that was the only way I could get anything done (while one hung on a command, I'd switch to the other). Took me the rest of the day to get done what should have only needed an hour.
Tonight was draining. I hope she understands what I was trying to convey. I'm not the same, manic depressive person I was a year ago. We shall see.
